ARedSunRising

We are a group of living historians re-enacting 20th century Asian conflicts. We are primarily based in Texas. We have Imperial Japanese Army (IJA), Viet Minh, Chinese People's Volunteer Army (PVA), and Viet Cong (VC) impressions. Members are welcome to participate in one or all of the impressions that we portray.

We in no way support / condone communism nor imperialism.

Members join our unit for reasons ranging from a simple desire to provide an opposing force (OpFor) for allied units, all the way to an interest in learning how these soldiers lived day to day in the field.

No matter the reason for joining, all of our members take their impression seriously, but that doesn't mean we don't have fun. If you would like to learn more about our unit, or if you have an interest in joining us, please visit our website:

If you have an interest in reenacting WW II, but don't want to reenact the Imperial Japanese Army, we can get you in touch with good quality units that reenact Free French Foreign Legion, Australian (AIF), American, Russian, or German Heer.

Thank you.
