  • Witnesses sought to aggravated robbery in Giralang

    ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at the 7-Eleven located on the corner of Canopus Crescent and Atalumba Close in Giralang on Wednesday, 18 May 2016.

    At approximately 12.45am, a male entered the store and produced a screw driver, and made demands for cash and cigarettes. The male also stated that he had a gun.

    The staff member complied, handing over a sum of cash and cigarettes before the offender exited the store and fled on foot in a southerly direction.

    The male is described as being 175cm (5"9") tall with a medium build. He was wearing black shorts and a grey hooded jumper with a plain blue t-shirt over the top, with black shoes and a black beanie.

    Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or can assist in identifying the offender to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Please quote reference number 5962012.
