For the first time as a stand alone video we have T.Rex doing their first No1 smash 'Hot Love' from February 1971.
This song spent 6 weeks at No1 and sold in excess of One Million copies in the UK and was really the beginning of Glam Rock. It was also a big hit across Europe and in Australia.
This live version was recorded at Wembley Empire Pool 18th March 1972 it is from the 5.30 pm concert. There was also a second performance at 8pm which is featured in the film 'Born To Boogie' directed by Beatles drummer Ringo Starr.
This film came out in 2005 on DVD and includes the 5.30 performance in it's entirety for the first time.
This version really shows how great the band actually were at playing live.
Marc Bolan is on fire on guitar and vocals.
Mickey Finn really flies on congas and tambourine.
Steve Currie holds down the bass along with drummer Bill Legend who is the only surviving member.
Keep a little Marc in your heart!
