Carole Waller is known for her innovative and personal approach to the art of painting on unprimed cloth. She makes clothing and large scale paintings for the wall as well as sculptural and architectural works in glass. Her silk clothes are contemporary, stylish and timeless. Each piece is a unique original painting -- and Carole's signature style expresses a particular energy and movement through colour and mark They imbue the wearer with that energy and optimism. Carole began to make painted clothing in 1986 - having trained in painting at Canterbury College of Art and for an MA at Cranbrook Academy of Art near Detroit. Her work is featured in many books on contemporary textiles and is found in museums such as the V&A , private collections and contemporary galleries internationally. She has sold through Harvey Nichols , Liberty of London and Bergdorf Goodman in New York. Clothing can be commissioned for special occasions, purchased through her website etc.
