    This series of sequential videos is directed toward people interested in an introduction to taijiquan. It focuses on the first section of the Yang style of taijiquan, as taught by Yang Chengfu. The instructor is fourth generation of this lineage with over 45 yeas of experience and has taught over a thousand students. The fundamental drills and applications to the first section of the long form will build a sound foundation for taiji practice. They are useful to beginners in regard to avoiding common mistakes, when starting taiji and also building a solid basis for further practice. These exercises in these videos will also help to reduce the propensity of falling for seniors, who practice them and can be used at senior centers as a curriculum, as they have in the past. The videos should be practiced sequentially. Don’t go on to the next video until you feel you mastered the prior content. When you finish the sequence of ten videos, you will be able to practice the first section of the Yang style of taijiquan.
