Constructed almost entirely out of Carbon Fiber components, Colossus outperforms most others in it's class. Designed for minimal drag, length, and weight, Colossus comes in at only 62" long and 19.7lbs.
At Aeronaut 2014, Colossus took to the skies on an Aerotech M685W Moonburner. Simulations put the flight at around 40,000 feet apogee, but the BigRedBee GPS transceiver stopped sending packets shortly after launch. Thus, Colossus was never recovered. All data points to a successful flight barring the lack of recovery.
