Exploring Budapest - A Detailed City Tour: Hungary, August 2018.
Budapest is the capital and the most populous city of Hungary, and the tenth-largest city in the European Union by population within city limits. Budapest is a leading global city with strengths in commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment. Budapest is cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, ranked as "the world's second best city" by Condé Nast Traveler, and "Europe's 7th most idyllic place to live" by Forbes. This film is a detailed tour of the city, that was filmed over four days, but is presented chronologically as one continual journey. The film begins with a detailed tour of Margaret Island, followed by a walk across the Arpad Bridge to Obuda, a metro ride to Felehiz, and an exploration of Felehiz and Vizivaros, before walking up to the Castle District, with walks around the Fisherman's Bastion, and a good explore of Matthias Church. From there the journey goes down to the suburb of Országút, where the 56 tram is caught to Hűvösvölgy. Here the Budapest Children's Railway, is taken to Széchenyihegy where we then take the Budapest Cog-wheel Railway downhill back to Országút. The 56 tram is then taken to Taban, where there is further exploration around the Taban and Vizivaros waterfront. The Castle Funicular Railway is taken up to Budapest Castle, where great views are had over the city. The Funicular is taken back downhill and the River Danube is again crossed on the Chain Bridge into the suburb of Lipotvaros, where the streets and sights are featured, including the Budapest Eye, St Steven's Basilica, the Hungarian Parliament Building, and the Margaret Bridge.
This film is intended to showcase what Budapest has to offer for the visitor, and if you are thinking of visiting the city, the sites and attractions highlighted in this film will help you. This film does not feature music, narration or an annoying presenter, it highlights Budapest as I saw it. It was filmed on a Sony A600 camera.
