Watch me do StrongLifts 5x5 workout A. I Squat, Bench Press, and Barbell row for five sets of five reps. It takes me only 30mins to complete this full body workout.
StrongLifts 5x5 is the simplest weightlifting workout to get stronger. It only takes three workouts per week of about 45min each. Each workout you do three exercises.
- Workout A you Squat, Bench Press, Barbell Row
- Workout B you Squat, Overhead Press, Deadlift
Start with a light weight so you can focus on learning proper form. Do five sets of five reps on all exercises (except Deadlift, only 1x5). Then add 2.5kg/5lb each workout.
The more weight you lift, the stronger you get. Strength equals size. So the stronger you get, the more muscular you also become. You can easily gain 25lb of lean muscle within a year with a simple strength training program like StrongLifts 5x5.
In this video you can see me do the full workout A of StrongLifts 5x5. I'm lifting the weights that you'll lift in week 8/9 if you start with the empty bar. It only takes me 30mins to do the full workout A.
