Featuring hauntingly beautiful drone footage of the Canadian far North, this film documents a unique youth program that sent Inuinnaqtun youth out on the land to learn hunting, fishing, and survival skills from their elders, and deepen their connection to the land and culture they come from.
In 2017, Reel Youth visited Kugluktuk, NU for two weeks as part of the Moving Forward Together - Hivumut Aulaniq Atauttimut project. We facilitated two intergenerational programs on the land, where young people and community elders spent time out on the land, teaching, learning, and creating short films. This documentary shares the magic of these programs.
