Diving Deep with Doctors: Get To Know & Trust Your Doctor

Imagine, you walk into a cold, sterile exam room.

You fill out annoying, repetitive paperwork, and wait 45 minutes to see the doctor about some scary health issues you're experiencing.

Then, he walks in and without making eye contact says "your results came back..."

This has happened to me countless times.

We all dread going to the dentist - but on the other side of the coin, dentists are 1.67 times as likely to commit suicide as those working an average job.

A new study by WebMD found that doctors are more than twice as likely to commit suicide as the American general public (the rates among doctors are even higher than suicide rates in the military).

There are many factors that result in untreated depression, and stress-related medical conditions like working long hours, dealing with angry & demanding patients, malpractice lawsuits, strenuous continued education, medical school expenses, and the ease of access to pharmaceuticals.

The fact of the matter is that physicians have the highest suicide rates of any profession.

Yet no matter the industry, no matter the seriousness of the medical issue at hand, there seems to be one common complaint about physicians - and it's that they exhibit POOR BEDSIDE MANNER.

We believe that there's more to it, so we're dedicating this series to debunking "poor bedside manner."

In this series, we're diving deep with doctors to get to the bottom of their motivations as medical professionals, and the challenges that come along with it.

Far too often, they put your health before their own, and your family before theirs.
Sure they may come off introverted, insensitive, or "too busy."

So every Monday, we'll be sharing a new video that helps you get to know and understand physicians a little better.

We're all in this together.
