Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) is a non-government Aboriginal organisation giving legal advice and court representation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, women and children in NSW and ACT. We work in Criminal law, Family law, and Children's Care and Protection law. We can provide information and referral for Civil law matters. We also run the Custody Notification Service (CNS), a 24-hour legal advice and RU OK phone line for Aboriginal people taken into police custody. We have 23 offices and 187 Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff across NSW and ACT determined to get justice for Aboriginal people and the community.
