Ballet Rehab Exercises Supported By Macmillan Funding

With support from Macmillan, we have produced a set of ballet rehab exercises aimed at women who are undergoing breast cancer treatment and surgery.

The exercises are inspired by gentle ballet movements that anyone can do. Starting with seated warm-ups, the exercises are designed to take you through two levels that you can follow as your health improves... and that you can continue to enjoy when you are back to full health.

Katherine MacInnes the founder of www.fit4ballet.co.uk. In 2015 she had breast surgery and reconstruction. She used ballet exercises during recovery and wanted to create these ballet exercise videos for the benefit of other women who are going through breast cancer and surgery.

1. Ballet for All - adult ballet students talk about the benefits of ballet for everyone.

2. Ballet for Recovery - medical practitioners talk about how gentle ballet exercises can help to speed up recovery for breast surgery patients.

4. Introduction to the Exercises - explanation of the basic ballet positions and moves.
