This video blog follows the efforts of a contributor and fixer from the film GAZA (Sundance 2019 World Cinema Documentary Competition) and their efforts to make the journey to Sundance from Gaza, whose borders to the outside world are closed.

Sundance has invited contributor Ali Abuyasin and fixer Fady Hannoona to attend the festival for the film’s world premiere on Jan 29th, but the two men have many difficult obstacles to overcome before they can make their dream come true. Will the border between Gaza and Egypt, currently closed, open in time for them to make their visa appointments in Cairo? And if they get there, will the US Consulate issue them with visas.

Fady and Ali are recording a video diary of their trials and tribulations as they embark on the long road to Sundance.
