Tony Potts

Access Hollywood since April 1999 – February 2011. Potts moved from New York City to Los Angeles in late 1997 after signing a one-year, talk-show development deal with ABC/Buena Vista Television. The subsequent pilot was not picked up in late 1998. He then signed a development deal with Paramount Television (he was once a correspondent/fill-in host on the Paramount TV-packaged Entertainment Tonight from June to September 1998) before leaving to join NBC and Access Hollywood.
In the mid-1990s Potts was a host on Fox Television's groundbreaking morning show Good Day New York. At the time, Good Day New York was the number one morning show in New York City, beating all the network morning shows. Good Day New York helped launch the career of Gordon Elliott (who went on to host his own syndicated talk show).
During Potts' time in New York he appeared in Mel Gibson's film, Ransom. He has since appeared in a number of films and television shows. Potts was in the season-two finale of CSI: Miami playing a helicopter pilot. He played himself on several episodes of the FX series, Dirt, which starred Courteney Cox.
Potts also participated in the 2007 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, in which he won the Most Valuable Player award, as he scored 14 points and had 8 rebounds as the West defeated the East 40-21.
Tony graduated from California State University at Humboldt with a B.A. in Journalism & Editorial Writing.
