Marysol Castro

Marysol Castro, one of ESPN’s most energetic broadcasters, brings a wealth of intelligence and versatility to the network. Castro’s professional experience in reporting the news makes her invaluable to ESPN. Brought on by the network in July of 2015, Castro currently serves as the host of Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN (PBC on ESPN). Castro also reports for ESPN during the Little League World Series telecasts.

Before joining ESPN, Castro worked as a morning news anchor on WPIX-TV in New York (2014-2015). As the co-host of the 4-6am Morning News Show, Castro delivered the daily news in the country’s number one market. She presented and interviewed people-of-interest for musical acts, cooking, beauty, and fashion segments, including live interviews with mayoral candidates, celebrities, and pop culture icons. Prior to her role at WPIX-TV, Castro hosted the daily morning shows on two different national news networks covering breaking weather stories. Castro served as a weather anchor for The Early Show on CBS (2010-2011) and as a weather anchor and features correspondent for ABC’s Good Morning America (2004-2010).

In her former life, Castro taught high school English in Brooklyn, NY, and received her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University. She got her Master’s degree at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and currently resides in New York, NY with her two young sons.
