Throsby High Schools Marine Debris Video Challenge

On this playlist you will find eight videos created by students from five local High Schools: Callaghan College Waratah Technology Campus, Hunter School of Performing Arts, Kotara High, Lambton High and St Philips Christian College.

Their brief was to produce a 20-second advertisement targeting the reduction of Marine Debris in our environment. The three videos that received the most views during a ten day voting period went on to be assessed by a professional panel of judges, with the entry from St Philips Christian College taking out first place.

Their video was then professionally produced by NBN television and aired as a real life community service announcement throughout the month of August 2015. Now that's one for the resume!

Congratulations St Philips Christian College and thank you to all of the participating High Schools.

This project is a NSW EPA Waste Less, Recycle More initiative funded from the waste levy; and is a joint initiative of Hunter Local Land Services and Newcastle City Council.
