Given the funds at his disposal, however, there is no doubt that England's Enaam Ahmed has maximised his opportunities. A former European and World Kart Champion, Enaam worked on the shop floor at Carlin this year as part of his deal to race with them in British F3. The result? Twelve wins and a championship clinched with three races still to run. Peter Windsor spoke to Enaam after his latest victories at Snetterton. Fifty years ago - on May 31, 1965 - Memorial Day in the USA - Jim Clark securing the first half of his historic achievement with Team Lotus. In becoming the first European to win at Indy since the 1920s - and the first to win in a rear-engined car - Clark set the scene for a double-whammy that will never be repeated. Clark would go on to secure the F1 World Championship that same year with a stunning series of wins but in May, 50 years ago, all his focus was on Indy - on rocking the establishment and changing the way the Americans went racing.
