This video is a synopsis of a study conducted by Dr.Jeff Nessler and his students at California State University San Marcos. Dr. Nessler is a Professor of Kinesiology at CSUSM and a specialist in the biometrics of human movement and muscle activity,
The tests were done in an Endless Pool Elite -- a surfer's paddling treadmill -- by analyzing stroke and muscle contraction and tilt in different scenarios: paddling without an Ergo or any upper body garment; paddling while wearing an uninflated Ergo vest, with the vest acting as a compression rash guard only; and paddling with the Ergo vest's patented air bladder inflated. These three scenarios were tested on shortboards and longboards.
The data gleaned from these tests are discussed in the video by Dr. Nessler and Dr. Shane Carpenter, PT, DPT and Dave Hilts, the founder of PaddleAir Products Inc. The results show that the Ergo by PaddleAir, when it's patented air technology is inflated, reduces muscle contractions and strain on the back and the neck of surfers as they paddle. It lets surfers Paddle Stronger, Surf Longer (TM).Description
