We’re Blaine and Janis, and this is our life exploring off the beaten track. From abandoned villages to isolated islands, we travel by boat to places most people will never see.

Right now, we are taking Tangaroa—our 78-foot aluminum yacht—on the Great Siberian Sushi Run, an expedition from British Columbia to Alaska, Siberia, and Japan. Along the way, we share the real stories behind remote places, the people who shaped them, and what it takes to keep a boat like this going.
