Lasith Fernando

Lasith Fernando first arrived on the Sri Lankan music scene as a working musician turned singer-songwriter. With his 2017 release Mathaka Mal Lasith introduced Sri Lankan audiences to his own distinctive blend of rock, pop-rock and blues inspired songwriting, and has since gained recognition as an artiste with a penchant for synthesising complex emotions and feelings into easy listening music. Growing up surrounded by the music of artistes such as Clarence Wijewardene, Rookantha Goonatillake and Senaka Batagoda, Lasith continues this tradition of iconic Sri Lankan singer-songwriters who write music that is both relatable and timeless.
