Learn how to fix a common can not boot error in Virtual Box by remounting the system drive image.
All you have to do is mount a CD image or Hard drive of your Operating System virtual hard drive or create one in Virtual Box to fix the "Could not read from Boot Medium! System Halted Error".
If your hard drive got corrupted, the easiest thing to do is remount your backup copy of your hard drive if you made a backup copy. Otherwise, you may have to boot from the Operating CD or ISO and see
if you can use the recovery tools like Recovery Console for Windows XP, etc for helping you make your system partition/virtual machine bootable again.
You can also make a new hard drive and reinstall your operating system on your virtual machine.
