Fontaine (formerly Indian City)

Fontaine (formerly known as Indian City) is an Indigenous-led Canadian folk-roots band founded in 2012 by the late, acclaimed Indigenous musician Vince Fontaine. Now led by Vince’s daughter, Gabrielle Fontaine, the band blends contemporary folk, pop, and roots with Indigenous stories, perspectives, and experiences.

In 2026, the band officially enters its next era as FONTAINE, honouring its history while embracing a name that reflects the family and legacy at its heart. The new chapter begins with Unforgotten, a song released in September in honour of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), continuing the band's commitment to using music as a form of remembrance, expression, and advocacy.
