“When I was first paralyzed I was 230 pounds. What fitness did for me was, it helped shape my mindset. It helped challenge myself and push myself past those mental limits.”
Six years ago, Wes got paralyzed when he was hit by two bullets in a shooting. He had to find himself and decided to give his life a new purpose.
Fitness helped him overcome mental and physical challenges. He not only did build himself up, moreover, he launched The Disabled but Not Really Foundation foundation building up others who face the same challenges.
Wes is now executive director at The Disabled but Not Really Foundation (disabledbutnotreally.com) and a caring father of a daughter.
Follow the journey of Wesley Hamilton and see him compete at Wodapalooza in January and get ready for his bodybuilding competition in March.
