Your Family Tree Detective with Helen Brahms

Every family has a story. What's yours?

Kia ora! I'm Helen Brahms, founder of Your Family Tree Detective, a professional genealogist with over 40 years of family history research experience, and host of the daily Porch Light Letters podcast.

Through my series "Where Was Your Family When…?", we explore historical events, family milestones, and the experiences that shaped our ancestors' lives.

Whether you're researching your family tree, searching for missing ancestors, solving genealogy mysteries, breaking through brick walls, or preserving family stories for future generations, you're in the right place. Genealogy isn't just about names and dates. It's about discovering the people who made our lives possible.

Subscribe and join me daily as we uncover the stories behind our family trees.
