What began as a creative idea turned into an initiative for change and our founding of Geek Club Books, a creative autism nonprofit. We tell the stories of autism to ignite hearts and open minds so those with autism are given every opportunity in this world to shine.
Think of us as a creative studio focused on innovative, entertaining autism education through story apps, digital media, curriculum and webisodes. We have a team of autistic adults who work with us on everything we produce. Our mission? To end the stigma of autism and make this a more accepting and inclusive world.
Bluebee TeeVee, Autism information station is an innovative webisode series where kids learn all about autism—in a friendly, clinically correct and respectful manner with humor and pop culture references thrown in for fun. The show’s host, James Sullivan, is the script writer, filmmaker and editor. Jonathan Murphy performs the voices for the Bluebee Pal co-hosts. Both of these young men are on the autism spectrum. Geek Club Books subscribes to the "Nothing about us, without us" way of operating. We think it's important to elevate and amplify autistic voices since theirs are the only voices that matter when it comes to autism. Listen to these advocates as they activate their voices for acceptance!
When they couldn't find meaningful employment for their autistic loved ones...they became entrepreneurs and started their own businesses. Discover great autism business ideas! We have links to their profiles where they share the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship.
