    Ian is the European Parliament’s Rapporteur on post 2020 reforms to the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme, Chair of the Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia, and a member of ENVI, the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety.

    He was recently appointment to the Board of Advisors of the Schwarzenegger Institute at the University of Southern California. The appointment to Governor Schwarzenegger’s think tank followed a meeting at the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris last December, when the two discussed market-based solutions to global warming.
