In Fall 2014, I took an awesome bike tour around town with Andrew Groocock of the Professional Tour Guide Association of Houston. We checked out some of the best sights of interest along the bike trails between Downtown Houston and the Heights. A few things may have changed, but by and large this is still a great route to take for a leisurely afternoon stroll or even a daily commute from the Heights to Downtown!
Since we filmed these in 2014, I've shared these videos with friends and Houston newcomers but never put them online for the world to see! I'll be publishing the series throughout the Fall, which is always a great time to get outside and explore the city on two wheels.
With the addition of numerous bike trails and programs like B-cycle, Houston has become increasingly more accessible by bike. Starting at the former Albert Thomas convention center, we check out some of the best sights of interest along the bike trails between Downtown Houston and the Heights.
