Clip Studio Paint on iPad Pro vs PC vs Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Sketchable App
I share a bit of my digital drawing history, from my hardware to software and what led to my current choices.
Special piece of advice: If you rely on a machine to create your work, then you must have a back up machine. Machines break down, and a professional must still complete the job. Having a second machine will let you continue your work when your first machine fails.

My three qualifiers for any device and software:
1. Budget. Know the amount of money you have available including the software and peripherals because you will need more than the device.
2. Purpose. Will this be for fun, media consumption, creative exploration, business management or professional art? Each device handles differently because they were designed for a different purpose. Some devices do not handle full software where others were made for fun.
Know the difference.
3. Preference. Are you an Android Head, Apple Fanboy/girl or Microsoft Loyal? Do you have a software collection for Windows, OSX, iOS or Android? Buying a new device that is not in your digital ecosystem will require you learn new gestures, buy new software/apps and creating new accounts.
I hope this helps. Here is some of the devices in my digital collection. Each was built and designed to work with a company made stylus. VERY IMPORTANT!
Speed Drawing on SketchableApp with Adonit Ink Stylus and Microsoft Surface Pro 4 https://youtu.be/nSNwMhUP2_8
Adonit sent me this cool stylus for windows 10 tablets, specifically the Surface Pro. I drew my main man, Denominator, the Art Gorilla ready to fight with the Adonit Ink, real time: 2 hours total. I took my time.
Adonit Ink Stylus provided by @AdonitEurope on Microsoft Surface Pro 4
My verdict: The Ink is a great tool to have in your toolbox, even if you own a Surface Pen, keep it as a backup. The Ink is so lightweight that its real easy to move about on the screen and you can avoid drawing fatigue. The tip glides smoothly over glass and screen protection covers, could use some grip or exchangeable tips so I can some drag on the glass.
The Ink stylus overall feels smooth to the touch, the texture on the barrel has enough grip feel comfortable. I still added a rubber grip to give me extra thickness however that kind of hides the buttons, but I am ok with that.
