As a young and vigorous symphony orchestra in China, the China Philharmonic Orchestra has completed world premieres and China premieres of a large number of compositions, standing out in China’s symphonic landscape. It has formed a distinctive artistic style of "the Sound of the China Philharmonic" and gathered a group of vibrant musicians. In the spring of 2009, China Philharmonic Orchestra was listed as one of the “Top 10 of the World's Most Inspiring Orchestras” by the Gramophone Magazine, together with Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, and New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
