Historical Society of the NY Courts

The Historical Society of the New York Courts was founded in 2002 by then NYS Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye and is dedicated to the preservation of New York's legal history.

The Society pursues this goal through public programs, educational initiatives, oral histories, historic preservation and many other avenues. We hope that the legal perspective provides valuable insight into the history of our state and nation.
