Meyer Burger offers fully integrated production lines for the entire photovoltaic value chain (Wafer Process, Cell Process, Module Process and Process Control) with the latest technology, including Heterojunction and SmartWire Connection Technology.
The Heterojunction Technology combines the advantages of crystalline silicon solar cells with excellent absorption and passivation characteristics of amorphous silicon, which is known from the Thin Film Technology. Heterojunction Technology is yet being used industrially by only one company. Since 2008, Meyer Burger is co-operating with the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland, in order to further develop this cell concept and developed the corresponding Heterojunction cell manufacturing systems.
In partnership with Meyer Burger, SolarTech Universal has recently opened its production line. The solar panels of SolarTech combine the latest technologies, the Heterojunction Technology (HJT) and the SmartWire Connection Technology (SWCT).
