Parmeshar Dwar hosted its annual Vaisakhi Samagam this month in which thousands of Sikhs from across Punjab came to listen to the Gurmat Parchar by Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale. In a most inspiring sight, one thousand seven hundred and fifteen (1,715) people became Amritdhari during the Vaisakhi Amrit Sanchar and entered the Diwaan whilst thousands raised their hands with ‘Jaikaare’. Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa spoke about the Khalsa and the current times. The Diwaan was held within the Gurdwara Parmeshar Dwar Sahib complex, opposite the Diwaan Hall Parchar Centre. Arranged by the Parmeshar Dwar Charitable Trust, various free medical check-up camps also took place prior to the Gurmat Diwaan, which included the attendance of specialist doctors to deal with eyes, teeth, joints and general health, both for children and adults. The Samagam was broadcast live through various media - see the above links for Parts 1 & 2 (as well as an MP3 download) of the full Diwaan.
