Alaminos City is well known for it’s Hundred islands but what about mainland tourism? Let’s take a tour on the BEMAC E-Trike!
Eco-tourism is growing at a tremendous rate and Alaminos City Mayor, Arthur Celeste has jumped on this opportunity to increase mainland tourism by working with BEMAC to use their Electric Tricycles for tours of the city.
The tour starts with a look at the Mangrove Propagation & Information Center which explains the importance of the mangrove and you get to see the progress of their replanting efforts. Then it moves onto Bolo beach which would be a perfect area to have your lunch and go for a swim. Finally you take a tour of the Bamboo factory where they’re making furniture and souvenirs.
The specifics of the tour may change over time but this video hopefully gives you some idea of what Alaminos City is working towards and how BEMAC E-trikes are being used in the Philippines.
A huge thanks to BEMAC for inviting me to the launch event and to all the staff at Alaminos City Tourism Office and the related agencies who worked together to make the tour so smooth. Also thanks to Mayor Celeste who gave us his time for a Q&A and of course is at the heart of this project.
I cut a lot of footage because I wanted to keep this video to around 5 minutes long. if there's enough interest in the tour, I can share more footage of cool things, like the huge laser engraver / cutting machine they have in the bamboo factory.
