The Point San Luis Lighthouse is an historic site located on PG&E land near Port San Luis Obispo. The Lighthouse was founded in 1890 and has served as a beacon over the bay for over 127 years. The light station consists of multiple historic buildings that are available for tours. Docent led tour are offered for the general public as well as private groups, tickets can be purchased at www.PointSanLuisLighthouse.org. The lighthouse is operated by the Point SLO Lighthouse Keepers--a 501(c)3 non-profit group of dedicated volunteers who were founded in 1995. Their joint effort for over 20 years has led to the full restoration and renovation of the Point San Luis Light Station.
