Derek Fraser (University of Victoria) is senior research associate at the Centre for Global Studies and adjunct professor of political science at the University of Victoria. He is also an advisor to the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, University of Alberta. Derek Fraser had a long career with the Department of Global Affairs. He gained extensive experience in East-West relations and the communist and post-communist world through postings in Vietnam, Germany, the Soviet Union, Hungary and Ukraine. In Ottawa, he was director of relations with Eastern Europe. He was ambassador to Hungary, Greece and Ukraine.
Rob Huebert (University of Calgary) is associate professor of political science, specializing in international relations and strategic studies, most particularly on questions of Canada’s Arctic sovereignty. His research interests include Canadian foreign and defence policies, circumpolar relations, and naval and ocean studies. He received his PhD from Dalhousie University in Halifax.
Robert Murray (University of Alberta) is vice-president, research at the Frontier Centre for Public Policy and adjunct professor of political science at the University of Alberta.
Elinor Bajraktari (University of Alberta) is a former United Nations staff member who has worked on public-sector reform and development issues in a number of countries, including Bahrain, Belarus, Canada, Kosovo, Albania, Myanmar and Ukraine. He has spent time in Ukraine and has worked on development and social policy issues.
