A rendezvous with Mr. Manbir Singh Channi, Managing Director of CT Educational Society helps DIY segment understand the vision he holds for the young generation.A young aspirational man in his prime, who has the best of everything; good education, a lucrative job offer and a promising life ahead abroad, chose to leave it and stay back to contribute to the society. Doesn't that sound like an exemplary story of a movie to you, well to put it crisply, that's the story of Mr. Manbir Singh – the youthful Managing Director of CT Educational Society.A major call or some prefer to call it a turning point, came in Mr. Manbir's life when he made a commitment to himself and to the field of education and also to youth of the region at large by staying back and getting into education field in 2004. Since then, he has been improvising and inculcating his young ideas into the institute. Well, if an educational set-up is being run by a youth who understands what the generation today seeks, it does make a lot of difference and this is what his students and everyone around has been experiencing. A well-versed man and a graduate from Middlesex University, London, he stayed back with this vision in mind, he wanted to encourage professionalism in education sector. Initially, when he commenced and took the natal steps of his journey, he realized there was need of professionalism which needs to be emphasized. Being a perfectionist himself, he wanted everything foolproof in all aspects, shares Mr. Manbir. It was his wife who mellowed him and who rendered that balance wherein she made him fathom that people have to be taken along as a team and sometimes a free hand needs to be given. He really attributes this to his wife who eased him out or in his words, “She added that grease for smooth functioning, wherein I don't get worked up time and again.” Mr. Manbir expounds on it, “At that time, it was just two of us, my father and me who were handling all the institutes. At times, the pressure was too much of managing nearly 10,000 students and thousand employees, those things for me were getting strained.” Now, that he has lived that phase well, he recalls, “It was definitely learning curve wherein there were too many things to manage and even my health was going downhill.”
Nevertheless, he emerged sailing well through these times as they say – The only way out of difficulty is through it – so he took it up as a challenge and he stands today proudly managing 17 educational institutes.
