The GeneXperience with Virgil

Welcome to The GeneXperience.

I'm Virgil Phillips — a husband, father, Air Force veteran, basketball fan, and an ordinary guy who's had some extraordinary experiences.

In 2007, one of those experiences took me inside the world of Michael Jackson as a member of his security team.
Nearly two decades later, I'm telling those stories in my own words — what happened, what I saw, and what I learned.

But The GeneXperience is bigger than one chapter of my life.

Creating this channel is part of my journey out of isolation — and hopefully toward a community where we feel a little more connected.

We'll talk Michael Jackson, Gen X culture, basketball, music, fatherhood, faith, life and everything in between.
