During my 4 day vacation to Iceland, one of my goals was to locate an old geocache that was published on the Navicache website (which, as of this writing, is now unavailable) at Skarðsvík Beach in the Snaefellsnes peninsula, next to a Viking Grave discovered in 1962, the contents of which are on display in the National Museum of Iceland.
The cache was published in 2004, and had one find logged on the website in 2005 before the website became an abandoned, unresponsive, bug-ridden legacy.
What did I discover at the listed coordinates?
Watch the video to find out!
This video is taken from the resulting livestream video I posted on Facebook, which is why the quality is so low.
With the demise of navicache.com, the only guidance to locate the cache will be the internet archives... And this video :)
Do you want to find it?
Watch from 4:36 for the information!
