Pull Back The Curtain Projects

The image of pulling back the curtain evokes a theatrical sense of mystery, wonder and apprehension. The curtain acts as a threshold or borderland, separating the known from the unknown, leading us to imagine what lies behind.
 
Curated by artists Steph Goodger, and Gavin Maughfling, this is a proposition for a multi-disciplinary group exhibition, where themes of Time and space can be explored around the analogy of pulling back the curtain.  This subject offers a sort of common ground between the artists,  a pretext for discussion, and a way of framing ideas.
 
The Instagram page @pull.back.the.curtain, was set up to initiate dialogue between artists and audience. The artists involved are presenting their ideas and discussing their work through weekly takeovers. This online project is now being expanded on the YouTube channel, with interviews, talks, and on-line studio visits.
