HARD ROCK / ALTERNATIVE / MELODIC
After a successful album release in 2018, the Stockholm-based metalcore band Self Deception is back with brand new music. The band released their first single, ‘Bury Me Alive’, March 29th, which will be followed by two singles and finally a brand spanking new new EP released at the end of June.
The single 'Bury Me Alive' is released on March 29 and is the first single on the band's upcoming Ep, 'Endore The Art' to be released at the end of June 2019. As a listener, you get a clear taste of the band's matured expression, not least by Andreas' extended vocal repertoire. He confidently switches between vulnerable clean vocals and a raging, abysmal deep growling to portray the action of a person's uncertainties. The band says:
“The song is based on how loneliness affects a persons mentally. It has been important for us to convey the heavy subject correctly and we therefore sought inspiration from our own experiences. It has been an emotional creation that we think is clearly reflected in the song. ‘Bury Me Alive’ has a cinematic approach with heavy riffs, hovering verses and big choruses of a man's frustration to be buried alive by his mental illness.”
