3-2 Cristiano Ronaldo
REAL MADRID 3-2 MALAGA: The home side secure the three points after a hard-fought match with Malaga. The hosts took the lead through Karim Benzema, but quickly found the scoreline level again after Diego Rolan equalised for the away side.
Casemiro restored their lead three minutes, however, to give them a 2-1 advantage after the opening 45 minutes. They seemed to be in control of the second half, but a thunderous strike from Gonzalo Castro made it 2-2 after Kiko Casilla failed to tip the effort around the post.
The contest appeared to be heading for a draw until Luka Modric was brought down in the penalty area. Cristiano Ronaldo saw his penalty saved, but the Portuguese international was first to the rebound to secure a 3-2 victory for Real Madrid.
Real Madrid will try to get back on track in La Liga on Saturday, when they host an underperforming Malaga squad at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Malaga came into the season with European ambitions but got off to a nightmare start. They've found their stride in recent weeks, however, and have compiled a better record than Los Blancos in their last three outings.
