Life is like music; it has jarring chords and moments of silence. When I was ten, my mother disappeared, leaving a seven-year void I struggled to fill. That absence became a breeding ground for shadows, and I eventually spiraled into drug addiction. For years, I drifted in a current I couldn't swim against.

At twenty-nine, I finally chose to stop running. Turning my life around was the hardest work I’ve ever done, but it allowed me to reclaim my future. Now, at thirty-four, I help others navigate their own paths to recovery, knowing exactly how heavy that fight feels.

Music became my anchor—a coping skill to channel chaos into structure. When words failed, the beats sustained me. My life is no longer defined by the silence of my past or my years of addiction. It is defined by the recovery I sustain every day and the songs I write to keep moving forward. I’m no longer drowning in the silence; I’m finally writing my own melody.
