Wander with Nate

After 30 years of public service, the tempo finally stopped. Twenty years were in the U.S. Army. I retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 after tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and humanitarian missions, including the 2010 Haiti earthquake.

Divorced and an empty nester, I found myself back in my childhood bedroom under my mom’s roof. No rank, no title, no tempo. Just a man and a quiet morning.

I believe in Christ and practice Stoicism. I was not put on this earth to judge. Whatever you believe, you’re welcome here.

This channel documents the transition: decompressing, rebuilding daily routines, and planning the next chapter. Not a reset, but an honest step forward.

The Transition: Life after service and quiet mornings.
Reclaiming Basecamp: Adapting small spaces and organizing for the road.

No hype, no rush. Just honest reflections on slowing down, one day at a time, and finding home on the backroads.
