Followers of Jesus were initially called disciples or followers of The Way, Christianity was called “the discipline.” Someone has described it as “a meal, not a philosophy.” Over time Christians have been identified more with what we believe than how we live. In this shift, we’ve lost some of the practices that helped the grace of God take root in our whole lives, not just our minds. In this series we’ll recover these lost ways and maybe again become followers of The Way.
When Jesus was walking the earth, He was a disruptive and unpredictable force! The crowds tracked his every movement, and couldn’t wait to hear the next profound or controversial thing that He would say. In this series, we will look at Jesus in a way people originally did—in a way we’ve often forgotten. He was an intense man of action, stirring the pot, shaking up the status quo. Follow along with the Gospel writer Mark, as he describes each of Jesus’ unpredictable actions—each more shocking than the one before!
