Poet and vocal performer, Keith Flynn, has been described as a visionary, an American Rimbaud, and a National Treasure. From the "raging and visceral" readings of his poetry, (which always contain a cappella blues and gospel), to his life- and art-altering workshops, this “provocateur with a tender heart,” never fails to illuminate the magic and majesty of language. In addition to five internationally acclaimed books of poetry, a Pulitzer nomination, five albums, and a prose text for “Making Your Poetry Swing,” this accomplished overachiever is also the founder and editor of the Asheville Poetry Review. You will recently find him at his latest and greatest project, LIVE at White Rock Hall, a synergy of music and poetry like no other, being filmed in the 100-year-old church where he lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
