Merry Christmas! We hope you enjoy our version of "Christ Child's Lullaby" that we put together with Calvin Tigre for the Christmas season! Thank you so much to St. Margaret of Scotland in St. Louis, MO for allowing us to film this in such a beautiful space.
The words for "Christ Child's Lullaby" are believed to have been written by Fr. Ranald Rankin, a Roman Catholic priest from Fort William. The hymn was originally titled Tàladh ar Slànuighear (the Lullaby of our Saviour) and sung to a tune called Cumha Mhic Àrois (the Lament for Mac Àrois). The English version was made popular by Marjory Kennedy-Fraser.
The Gaelic version is traditionally sung on the Isle of Lewis and Harris on Christmas Eve and has 29 verses.
Our Christmas EP, "A Christmas Minding," is NOW AVAILABLE on Apple Music and iTunes! If you like this single, we hope you'll head over there and listen to the whole collection of songs. https://itunes.apple.com/
