The project Clean Energy Promotion through Microfinance in Ethiopia (CEPM) aims at improving the access of low-income households and microenterprises to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy products and services. Thanks to this project, around 20,000 Ethiopians gained access to the CET product and services.
The CEPM project was awarded the Best Climate Practices Award 2016 and the Energy Globe Award Ethiopia 2017.

The project is funded by the Nordic Climate Facility and implemented by Gaia, MicroEnergy International and Swan Management, in cooperation with the three Ethiopian Microfinance Insitutions: Buusaa Gonofaa, Harbu and SFPI.
