Ryder Safe Foundation

I lost my beloved chocolate lab Ryder to dog collar strangulation on October 24, 2018. I created the Ryder Safe Foundation to educate others about the dangers of dog collars and how to use them safely. I share better/safer dog collar options called "break away collars" that break away when tension is applied and prevent collar strangulation. One in 5 people have either lost a dog to a collar accident, know someone who has or had a near miss from a collar accident.

I love dogs, and I advocate for dog collar safety, education, and awareness. My overall goal is to educate dog owners about dangers related to dog collars, how to protect their dog(s) from collar entanglement, or strangulation, and overall - dog safety awareness.
