The Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, is dedicated to the preservation of the city's railroad heritage and to the men and women who made Hagerstown the "Hub City." The 25-stall roundhouse, shops and storage buildings were completed by 1939. This complex was in operation for more than 50 years building, maintaining and repairing Western Maryland Railroad locomotives and cars. The roundhouse was destroyed in March of 1999.
