The EU-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Civil Society Forum is organized every two years by CONCORD, the European NGO confederation for relief and development, with its partner MESA de Articulación, the Latin American NGO association, in the run up of the Summit of Heads of State and Government from Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean.
This year the event took place in Brussels on 19-20 March with more than 100 participants. The forum hosted Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, and Neven Mimica, European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development.
The ‘Europe We Want’ is a politically independent campaign that encourages a debate on achieving a fairer Europe at home and abroad at the upcoming European Parliament elections on 22-25 May 2014. The campaign was set up in April 2014 by a broad alliance of leading European civil society organisations. http://en.europewewant.eu/
